Course Coupons

What are course coupons?

Course coupons represent an unclaimed enrolment for a course. Coupons can be redeemed for yourself or sent to someone else.
There are several ways to receive course coupons:

1. By selecting "Purchasing for someone else" when buying a course
2. Purchasing more than one copy of a course
3. Receiving a coupon from another user
4. Purchasing additional copies of a course you are already enrolled in

Redeem a coupon

You are able to redeem a course coupon if you aren't already enrolled in that course.
Once redeemed, the coupon will be removed and you will become enrolled in the course.

Until the course is started you may be able to Transfer the enrolment, which will convert it back to a course coupon.

Send a coupon

Course coupons are sent via the email address provided.

If the email address is already connected to a user in the system they will receive the coupon and will be able to redeem it.

If there's no matching email in the system it will send an invitation to the email address to sign up. The coupon will be allocated to them once their account has been set up.

Cancel sending a coupon

If a course coupon was sent to an email address that isn't already in the system it can be cancelled until the user sets up their account.
This ensures that you don't lose the course coupon if the email address was incorrect, for example.
Cancelling sending a coupon will allow you to redeem or resend it.
