Course Modules

What is a module?

Modules are the individual components that make up a course.
All module types require the underlying content to be created first, e.g. SCORM files uploaded or form set up.

Similar to courses having a course enrolment, modules have a module enrolment which contains a learner's progress and data for the module.
In general, learners must complete all modules in a course to complete the course.

SCORM modules

The most commonly used format for online training is SCORM. This is a standardised format that allows courses to be shared across different training systems
Kuro's modular courses allow for a course to contain multiple SCORM packages. This is a good way to break up your training into smaller chunks, significantly improving user experience.

Video modules

These are a simple way to present a videos to learners when they're not part of a SCORM package.
Video modules require the video files to be uploaded. To use externally hosted videos use the Embed module.

Form modules

Forms are a great way to collect information from users, and can also be used for assessments.
