About this course
This module is designed to give you a fundamental level of knowledge and understanding of Mass and Dimension requirements and limits in line with the Heavy Vehicle National Law. You will learn how Mass and Dimension are measured and the exceptions and limits of specific vehicle and trailer types. It will also explore the eight Mass Management accreditation standards and the mass and dimension requirements for Class 1 vehicles. Learning Outcomes: - describe the purpose of General Mass and Dimension Limits - describe the mass and dimension requirements for specific trailer types - discuss the categories for Mass and Dimension Breaches and how to report breaches - understand the requirements of Mass and Dimension Measurement Adjustment and Exceptions, including concessional mass Limits, Higher Mass Limits and 1-Tonne Tri-Axle Mass Transfer Allowance - identify the eight Mass Management Accreditation Standards - understand the mass and dimension requirements of Class 1 vehicles.
