This module is designed to provide you with essential knowledge and skills to respond effectively in cases of cardiac emergencies.

Throughout the module, you will learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of various cardiac conditions, understand the appropriate first aid responses, and apply life-saving techniques until professional medical help arrives.

Learning outcomes:
- understand workplace first aid procedures
- define the roles and responsibilities of first aiders 
- recognise the signs and symptoms of common cardiac conditions
- demonstrate proper techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- know the steps to take when encountering a conscious or unconscious person with a suspected cardiac condition
- identify the appropriate first aid measures for individuals experiencing chest pain and discomfort.
