You will gain a deep understanding of what exercising due diligence involves, including the legal obligations and responsibilities placed on employers, managers, and other duty holders.
Learning Outcomes
After completion of this module, you should be able to;
- understand the concept of due diligence in workplace health and safety
- understand the legal obligations and responsibilities of exercising due diligence according to the WHS Act
- identify the potential offences and penalties for failing to comply with WHS duties and obligations
- know how to acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of work health and safety matters
- know how to identify and assess workplace hazards and risks and implement appropriate control measures
- recognise the effective use of resources and processes to meet the due diligence obligations.
