About this course
Manual handling is something we do frequently in almost every part of our lives. At home, while we are on holiday, playing sport and of course at work. Quite often we undertake manual handling activities without even thinking about it. This course is designed to give you a fundamental level of knowledge and understanding of manual handling tasks and the impacts that unsafe manual handling activities have on workplace health and safety. Course Learning Outcomes After completion of this course you should be able to: - understand what constitutes manual handling tasks - the definition of manual handling according to industry codes - work activities that are considered manual handling - understand the musculoskeletal system and musculoskeletal disorders - understanding methods of controlling risks associated with manual handling tasks - understand correct manual handling techniques - kave knowledge of Workplace Incident Statistics - know how to report injuries and incidents.
