About this course
Committing to the risk management process promotes alignment with the nature of workplace activities and the extent of health and safety risks. This module helps you in recognising, evaluating and controlling risk in a way that is appropriate for your organisation's operations. It includes work health and safety legislation and guidance on managing workplace work health and safety risks. Learning Outcomes After completion of this course, you should be able to: - understand supporting legislation and procedures - recognise roles and duties of the organisation and individuals under the WHS Act - understand definitions and elements involved in risk management - identify the purpose and importance of risk management in the workplace - recognise hazard controls and safe systems of work in place to reduce risk - understand the process of managing risks, controlling them, and monitoring and reviewing the controls.
